"stiftsruin" Bad Hersfeld

With about 30.500 inhabitants the spa and festival town is located in the east of the state Hesse. Sights especially worth seeing are the Romanesque „Stiftsruin“ Bad Hersfeld – performance venue of the Bad Hersfelder Fesspiele (Festivals), the hands-on exhibition “wortreich“ (wordy), but also the old town with its numerous timbered houses and the town church from the 14th century.
