Lutherhaus (Luther House)
The Lutherhaus reopened in 2015 in renewed splendor. Since then, the new permanent exhibition “Luther and the Bible” has been on display in the house where Martin Luther reputedly lived while attending the Latin school between 1498 and 1501. It brings Luther’s historic translation of the Bible to life in a variety of way and has on display, among other things, treasures of medieval art, works by Cranach and the parish register entry recording Johann Sebastian Bach’s baptism – and all of that in a unique historic setting.
